Children can learn about different types of veges, colours, and the concept of halves as they assemble the vegetable puzzle and enjoy imaginary play, ‘slicing’ the chunky pieces.

The vegetable shapes included are corn, carrot, zucchini, tomato, cucumber, mushroom, tamarillo, red onion, and cabbage. The chunky puzzle pieces feature the vegetable sliced open, while the inset picture on the puzzle board shows how it looks when whole.

Learning Outcomes: Helps children learn to name and identify the vegetables, as they remove and match them back to the images on the board; puzzles help build hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while also encouraging problem-solving and discovery. Safe knife/cutting skills can also be taught through this set, which includes a pretend knife.
