This is the original, officially AS/NZS standards crash tested Houdini Stop chest clip so it is proven safe and legal to use in Australia and New Zealand with AS/NZS standard restraints. Houdini is currently getting it tested to the European Standard and we will update this page as soon as it is tested and passed.

It has been crash tested to AS/NZS standard 8005:2013 in both forward and rear facing situations with Type B, A1, A2 & A4 seats and proven to be safe in all these tests.

Attach the Houdini chest chip to the harness and then position in line with the child’s armpits.

    I used this for my now 2 year old and have found it to be very useful. We have a AxissFix Plus and the shoulder straps would slip off her shoulders when she wanted to escape. This clip prevented that from happening. If she really wants to escape she can still get her arms out but they are designed to reduce the temptation to do so. She doesn’t bother too much anymore as she gets stuck and the end goal is not achieved.

    Really useless. These cant even be used on carseats under NZ law, very misleading!!

    Hi Donna, Thanks for your review. It has been tested to AS/NZS Standard in both rear and forward facing restraints with an inbuilt harness. Provided it is used correctly and only as a temporary solution (Houdini Stop recommend to cease use as soon as the child has learnt to stay within the harness safely) this item will not interfere with the performance of the child restraint. Baby On The Move always recommend speaking with a qualified child restraint technician before using this product to ensure the use of this item is appropriate for the situation.
