The Exactus child restraint locking clip has been developed in consultation with child safety experts, to bring you ease of use, safety and convenience.
Designed by Exactus, this type of locking clip is used to minimise lateral movement of a child restraint when installing in a motor vehicle.

- How to use the Locking clipI'm trying to fit my locking clip but it is incredibly hard to clip it shut. Do I need both parts of the set belt in it or just the part that goes over the body and up to the shoulder (the non lap part)?
Hi Melissa, thank you for your enquiry. The Exactus locking clip is designed to restrict movement of lap section of retractable vehicle safety belt. It is used in place of a gated buckle/double T fitting, either on the buckle side of the belt, or the adjacent side and is much easier to fit. It is suitable for use with all InfaSecure child restraints that feature an in-built harness. Instructions for use for this clip are as follows:
1. Install child restraint according to the manufacturers Instructions
2. Unlatch tongue from buckle
3. Hold the lap and sash straps together then feed into the locking clip.
4. Close over the hinged portion of locking clip and snap together
5. Latch tongue into buckle and check movement of restraint. Belt should be tight around restraint. If not, unlatch tongue from buckle and shorten lap belt in locking clip. Latch tongue into buckle and check - repeat if necessary.

I have just switched to seatbelt install of our seat as my child is 18kg so too heavy for isofix. Am looking for an easier locking clip than the metal one.
Hi Marie, thank you for your inquiry. The Exactus locking clip has been independently tested and approved up to 26kg for either rear-facing or forward facing child restraint installation, so you would be fine to use it. We hope this has helped with your query.

I recently bought a Britax Safe N Sound Booster seat and a Protecta Plus Harness. I find the metal seatbelt locking clip very fiddly to use and would like to replace it with this. Will it work?
