Got this from BOTM Nelson for our newborn and absolutely love it.
We used from the start and our midwife showed us to fill high and then support baby to float across the top initially. Within a few weeks baby was able to be supported perched up against seat and I look forward to continue its use when baby can sit up independently.
I also got one for a friend and she loves how she can now bath baby without the needed help from her husband required with their previous big cumbersome bath.
An absolute must-have, it is lightweight, compact, easy to move around, great for a variety of ages....my son is 6 months and still has plenty of room (my 4-year-old even jumped into it today, after my son). I have a bad back and ended up having surgery at 2 months post-birth so this bath has been a life saver....since using this bath my neck and shoulder pain went as well, so bath time actually became fun.
Makes bathing so easy and baby can sit up leaving hands free to wash them from a young age. The only criticism is it was awkward with the first couple of baths when baby is really newborn and still naturally curled up/not stretched out properly. From a few weeks old though it is perfect.
Our wee prem gal is only 4kg and this bath supports her so well.
Also, it doesn’t use much water so it’s fast to fill... or refill if she poops in it
I recommend this bath to all my mummy friends. I love the bum support to stop the baby from slipping down makes it easier to bath having 2 hands-free. Easy to empty and clean aswell, best buy so far for my 3 1/2-month-old baby.
My baby is very spilly and windy, so having a sitting up option is super helpful.
Also doesn’t take as much water to fill up so it’s quicker and easier to fill.
So lightweight even when full so perfect for carrying to the sink to empty afterwards.
This bathtub holds the baby securely in place, because it has a steep enough back relative to the large center stump on the tub floor (the stump which goes between the legs). Because of the perfect angle- whether baby is reclining or sitting up- he isn't slipping or sliding around. The angle, in other words, creates the right amount of hip flexion in either position. My baby is so much happier- he can relax back comfortably. I am obsessed with it and will tell anyone who will listen!
