Hey! How big is the gap that’s left generally?

Hi there, depends on the door so it can vary, sorry to not have exact measurements. the door is still open allowing the air to circulate and you can still hear baby cry out, but the toddler can not get in and disturb your sleeping baby. Hope that helps
